Pop Music Video Analysis 2:

Analysis:
0:12 - Zara's costume is very 'dance' appropriate. It's quite plain so allows us to focus on her dancing.
0:12 - The use of special effects when she's clapping her hands, gives the video a lot of dimension because maybe without it, the whole video maybe quite plain as it's set on a white background.
0:13 - She's changed her costume, which allows the audience to stay more interested because if she stayed in the same costume throughout the whole video it may of been boring.
0:18 - Mid shot allows us to see that the only thing in colour is her jacket, which may represent it as an important prop.
0:19-20: Flashing lights when she claps makes the video look more energetic and creates more of a 'party vibe'.
0:25 - Editing has been used to put Zara on the screen 3 times all in the same shot but in different colours. She has loads of different elements to her video which allows it to be intriguing for the audience as something new is always happening.
0:34 - Close up to show she's lip-syncing which portrays she is professional and invites the audience to sing aswell.
0:37 - The background changes for about 2 seconds to a colourful, pop art effect. This makes the video look a lot more dynamic as there's a lot of background and colour change.
0:39 - Long shot allows us to see that shes dance, so gives the video a lot of energy and just brings across a good atmosphere.
0:42 - Another costume change. There's a lot of different costumes to maybe keep the audience interested.
0:45 - Cross cutting from different costumes gives the video more of a narrative.
0:49 - Slow motion. Different paces throughout the video makes it more appealing and easy to watch.
0:54 - Montage / Collage editing. Loads of different backgrounds and costumes are used.
0:58 - The use of a transition (wipe) makes everything flow together nicely.
1:16 - Low key lighting as you can only see Zara's silhouette.
1:31 - Zara's makeup is very neon and bright, which is very eye catching and helps us to stay interested.
1:54 - The background changes from night time to day time, which links in with the lyrics she is singing so it all flows together.
2:07 - Zara's face has been mirrored on both sides, so everything looks symmetrical. This allows us too see her facial expressions from both angles, so we can connect with how she's feeling.
2:30 - The use of confetti as a prop makes the video seem very happy and relaxed as confetti in normally used for happy and special occasions.
2:33 - High-key lighting. Looks like there is some sort of light behind Zara which is making her glow and her facial features stand out a lot more.
3:22 - Use of black out at the end, shows the video is over.
